Journey to the Moon

Pilot the Saturn V rocket to the Moon. After the countdown reaches 1, press the up arrow key to launch.

The right side shows the rocket from the side, while the left side shows the rocket from above. The two views are linked. As you separate the engines, the Saturn V rocket becomes shorter.

Make your way to the Moon while avoiding the many meteors and asteroids falling through space. When Houston sends a command, press 1 to separate the first-stage engine, 2 for the second stage, and 3 for the third stage. If you continue without completing the required mission steps, the game ends. Hitting a meteor or asteroid also causes the rocket to fall back to Earth and ends the game.

Press the up arrow to speed up, the down arrow to slow down, and the left and right arrows to move sideways. Holding the up arrow consumes fuel faster, although completing a mission step restores some fuel. The game ends if you run out of fuel or oxygen.

The trip to the Moon has a time limit of 4 days and 6 hours (102 hours). In this game, 102 hours pass in 2 minutes. Because the rocket only has enough oxygen for those 102 hours, you must reach the Moon within 2 minutes or the game ends.

As you approach the Moon, slow down using the down arrow so that you can land on the surface. Successfully landing on the Moon clears the game.
