How to Play

This is a game designed to make you feel as though you are traveling even during the COVID-19 pandemic. The airport in the game is based on Narita International Airport in Chiba, where I live, and the scenery outside the airplane window is inspired by Chiba City and the Makuhari subcenter. Most of the experience is observation-based, but there are also choices and mini-games along the way.

Taking Photos

There is a scene where you take a photo, so prepare a webcam if possible. If you do not have one, the Scratch Cat image is used instead. Because capturing color images takes longer, I recommend using monochrome mode. The photo quality is intentionally low to reduce the project size. The project does not include a program for saving the captured image.

Controls

In the baggage-inspection scene, you can skip it by holding the up arrow during the preceding Narita Airport takeoff scene.

Design Focus

I paid close attention to small details in the game’s visuals to make the experience feel like traveling. I also put a lot of thought into the BGM.

For the airport announcement music, I added reverb so that it would sound as though it were echoing through a large space. For the final camera scene, I drew the Sony α6400 camera I had wanted for a long time. I later bought the camera in real life, recorded its actual shutter sound, and replaced the original sound with it.
